about

A prayer soaring to and from my heart, flowing with grace, bringing peace,
Soothing the wounded soul...
I have sung my pain and discovered joy and gladness.
Light shimmers while color dances with healing and rest upon it's wings.

I am an Alaskan singer/songwriter and improvisational pianist. My journey as a musician began when I was on staff at the Downtown Soup Kitchen in Anchorage.  I would sing and play on a little keyboard to bring comfort to our guests from the street during the cold, dark winter.  This led to writing and composing songs...stories of the lives around me...songs of deliverance and encouragement...songs to soothe the wounded soul.  I received invitations to share my music in numerous places including serving for many years as guest pianist for Seattle’s Northwest Flower and Garden Show, playing for Providence Hospital, the Mayo Clinic, Nordstrom and others.

I also spent winters within the Arctic Circle in a rugged, remote region serving as a fine arts teacher and school principal to children living on the banks of the unspoiled Draanjik or Black River.... surrounded by stillness, quiet, dancing auroras, a vastness of pristine white and a long, dark night.  Suddenly the sun breaks through in an explosion of passion, light, color and I stand in awe.....forever inspired and transformed in the beauty of God's holiness.

Through the years my music has been recorded on everything from a humble cabin keyboard to a world famous Steinway Concert Grand D!  I am in the process of compiling much of this original music to make available.  Presently you can access several albums on iTunes, amazon, and cdbaby.

You may find me playing live most summer mornings at the Fairbanks Westmark Hotel along with Saturday evenings at Village Voice on KJNP radio in North Pole, Alaska. I pray the listener finds rest, solace, healing and encouragement through my music.
