about

A prayer soaring to and from my heart, flowing with grace, bringing peace,
Soothing the wounded soul...
I have sung my pain and discovered joy and gladness.
Light shimmers while color dances with healing and rest upon it's wings.

I am a singer/songwriter and composer participating in the visual and performing arts in my home state of Alaska along with the Pacific Northwest. Some of my favorites include serving for 12 years as guest pianist for Seattle’s Northwest Flower and Garden Show and being a participant on the Village Voice radio program heard on KJNP and KRFF radio stations..

I spend part of winter within the Arctic Circle in a rugged region where I teach children living on the banks of the unspoiled Draanjik or Black River.  For aficionados of “The Last Alaskans” it is in the same remote environment......  surrounded by stillness, quiet, dancing auroras, a vastness of pristine white and a long, dark night.  Suddenly the sun breaks through in an explosion of passion, light, color and I stand in awe.....forever inspired and transformed. in the beauty of holiness.

My newest solo piano CD, Shining Like The Sun, was recorded in August 2017 by Tom Eaton at Imaginary Roads Studios with kind production assistance by Will Ackerman.  From the time I first heard the piano music of George Winston while driving the spectacular Turnagain Arm outside of Anchorage, I have had a special connection and love for the simplicity of acoustic piano.  Working with the founder of Windham Hill Records was an honor.  After finishing the solo piano recording, I sat early one morning alone in the quiet and sang ......psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  This is the companion vocal/piano album, Everlasting.  I hope the listener finds rest, solace, and encouragement in my music.
